Just like all Westin's, this one was a great stay. Service was supberb. This hotel accepts small dogs and we kept hearing a small dog barking, really whimpering and called down to report it. We got dressed and left and it was still barking, so we stopped by the desk and mentioned it again. They said they would again check all the rooms with dogs. When we got back to ur room later that night, there was both a voice mail and a note from staff explaining what they had done in trying to resolve the issue. Bottom line the dog was left alone which was against the rules. never heard the dog again at night or in the am.

Room was typical Westin, nice size, and as always very comfortable. We were upgraded to the 7th floor which is the Coincerege floor so there were snacks available thruought the day, light hor d'oeuvres with a cash bar from 5-7 and continental breakfast from 6 am - 9 am. Would have ben nice on a Sunday to have the continental breakfast to go unilt 10 am.

Location seemed strange--maybe its for businesses in the area -- we had a car and Richmond is so small and no traffic over the weekend, so it wasn't a problem. Lots of free parking.

Check their rates close in before you leave, we got a $95 rate.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great stay. The hotel was spotless, the staff was incredibly responsive, and the rooms were perfect!

As for the rooms they were great! The Heavenly Bed and Bathroom's name speak for themselves. Another great aspect is when you close the shades it gets perfectly dark, even the door had a tight fit so light didn't shoot in under it.

Another interesting in room item is they have vga, hdmi and video inputs right on the desk connected to the flat panel. So you could hook your laptop in directly and watch movies, etc.

As you can tell I was impressed by the Hotel all around!

This hotel was clean, very attractive, very comfortable. The staff could not be more friendly, warm, and helpful. I recommend it highly.

We often travel to Richmond to visit family and we like to stay at the historic Jefferson. The Westin is on the other end of the spectrum-modern, clean lines, etc. We love both of these properties. The Westin is so convenient and the staff is very welcoming and engaging. They seem to have a vested interest in this hotel. The rooms are super lovely...bedding is fluffy, comfy and so clean! Although there are many business travelers staying here we loved it for a family hotel. Nice indoor pool and work out room. Healthy alternative restaurant..loved all our meals!

Now I must say I'm a tough customer to satisfy when it comes to Hotels. The new Westin in Richmond is nothing less than perfect. The rooms are spacious, with flat TV, a great bathroom wih a double shower (it's really amazing). The bed is very confortable. The lobby is outstanding with free coffee in the morning and lemon-water in the afternoon. The service is great. This doesn't get any better.

The only little thing to improve is that the water in the bathroom doesn't really get cold so brushing your teeth is a little annoying. But I'm sure it can be fixed.

Highly recommanded !
