Hotel is not in the best area and the front desk person put us in a room close to the area that was being renovated. Our mini fridge made noises all night, the room smelled like stale smoke even though it was considered non-smoking and the bathroom door didn't close at all. The door to the room did not fit properly so there was a huge gap at the top of the door so you heard every bit of noise from the outside. When I checked out I just wanted the front desk person to ask how the room was. She didn't at all. Oh forgot, the TV reception was very poor and had a green wide band that went through the top half of the TV. We had to keep shutting off the TV and trying to fix the reception. I never give poor review of hotels - but this needed to be done.

We checked in and checked out in 20 mins. It was very late and my sister and I was traveling and getting tired I looked up this hotel and the reviews were average so we decided to go there. They had no elevator stairs only the room was dirty looking and carpet was moist and filthy smell like mildew. My sister looked up and there was a roach on the wall, needless to say we were out.

I visited Richmond, VA for couple of days as I am an Alumni at VCU University. This hotel was a very pleasant experience. Half side of the hotel is under renovation but the guy at front desk gave me a wonderful room away from it. Also the price was very reasonable for all they offer. The staff was really helpful, the lobby and the entrance was neat and clean. The room was very tidy, it has flat screen tv, microwave, fridge and useful amenities. It was a very quite, peaceful room with good view from balcony. Breakfast was fresh and hot. The staff were preparing it wholeheartedly all morning. I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is not in the best area. The lobby was really nice looking and the gentleman at the front desk (can't remember his name) was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that's where the goodness ends. The room was mediocre. There was a large stain on the carpet and parts of the carpet seemed damp. The TV reception was fuzzy. There was a large dead fly in the bathtub and there were gnats flying around the room. Overall, we were unimpressed and won't be staying here again.

The hotel was suggested by the lady at Richmond Tourism. While outside the city proper, Boulevard Ave. provides easy access to the downtown area.. The area around the hotel is a little rundown (actually, a lot of the city is rundown), but we were in the renovated "Executive Tower" (their words, not mine!), and the room had been redone. Everything was immaculate, the bed was comfy, scalding hot water. The coffeemaker cannot be used to brew hot water for tea; there is a microwave, but no cups to heat water in. TV had mediocre reception. Air-conditioning was fairly quiet. We were on the ground floor with easy parking in front. In all, a good value for the money, and we received a discount just for asking!

Room Tip: be sure you are in a renovated area.

This hotel is being renovated and is badly in need of it. Choose a king bed room in Area C which has mostly been renovated. The room was very clean with new carpeting, but with water damage in ceiling (we were on top floor). The location was very convenient to the event I attended and the price was right.

we were there for volleyball tournament. Friendly staff, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable for the price paid & it looked like they were just done with renovation which made a great view of the hotel from outside as compared to what i experienced it last year.
On the way there, I forget to pack my toothpaste & there it was available at front desk. great service from front desk.
They had just opened the pool which made the stay relaxed.
I would definitely stay there again & recommend others.
