Carry town has a unique blend of interesting shops and restaurants. Fun to walk and browse!!! Stop to eat, snack and then shop! Parking is a little tough so grab what space you can find!!!

You have to go to Bev's Homemade ice cream my favorite spot in Carytown. The flavors are unique and serving size is generous.

“Lively part of town”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Went to dinner in this area and there were lots of restaurants to choose from as well as retail and people just walking around and looking. Much livelier than downtown.

“Quaint Village feel. Great for walking!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Carytown is a nice, quaint and clean area in Richmond VA. it is basically a 2 block wide and 1 mile long strip tucked away beside of Interstate 195. It's a nice place to go if you want somewhat of a NYC Village feel. although it's not a huge area like NYC's village, there is a plenty to do! Every other storefront is a Restaurant or nice little Boutique shop. Great strip for walking. One of the few places you actually see people on a consistent basis. You can dine from Upscale to Micky Dee's :0 Whenever I'm in the Richmond area, visiting Carytown is a must do! I hope this review was helpful to you. Enjoy!!!

“Great for summer shopping”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Lovely place to just wander around and pop in and out of locally owned stores. I was there in July and it was HOT, but each store was a cool welcome oasis and we found some great items as we wandered down Cary Street. Go. Relax. Enjoy!
