“Your goal: find a quiet spot to relax and reflect”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Nice grounds to take a stroll with music and headphones. Complaint #1: it was crowded and noisy the day we visited, so it was a challenge achieving the feeling of peace and serenity that I hope to achieve when visiting a park such as this one. Try finding a quiet bench near the tea house or a quiet spot behind the lake (no benches there; you might want to bring a blanket). Complaint #2: I am 55 years young and DID NOT appreciate the discounted price for people over 55. I would rather pay full price and feel young. Actually, I do feel young, so why does this bother me so much?

“Christmas in Lewis Ginter”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

This was my 3rd visit to the gardens at Christmas and each time it has been magical. The flowers, trees, bushes, etc. are all decorated in lights and makes the garden look like a fairyland. The gift shop has some very interesting articles that would make very nice Christmas gifts and there is model train displays, and much more. It starts on Friday after Thanksgiving and runs til early January. There is the Garden cafe where you can get lunch. I definitely will be going again this Christmas.

“Beautiful Place to Visit.”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Your kids or grandkids will love this place. Gardens are well taken care of and there are lots of things in bloom throughout the year. During part of the year they have a wonderful butterfly garden which kids absolutely love. There is both indoor and outdoor exhibits available and a kids garden with lots of areas to play in. Interactive activities for the kids will keep them busy for hours. Bring your camera. You can enjoy tea at their tea house and spend some time in the gift shop. This is a delightful place both for adults and kids. There is a tree house to visit as well.
Don't miss this place when you are in Richmond. Easy to get to.
