If you are considering- or looking for a Wedding venue in the Richmond area- please consider Lewis Ginter first! Venue has 3 choices for ceremony/ reception. Beautiful! Staff top-notch. I was wedding planner and father of the bride. There is no venue in Richmond area that can come close to value, service and beauty! I fell in love with both venue and catering staff's- freindly, supportive and hard working. I will never be able to thank them enough for preparing and executing a magical wedding experience for my only daughter.

We spent a few hours just walking around the grounds and enjoying the beauty of nature. A great break from having to actually 'do' something while at the same time, you actually are! Highly recommended for decompressing whether think you need it or not.

The gardens are lovely no matter what time of year you go. We visited when there were few flowers in bloom, but the grounds themselves, and the art installations throughout, were lovely. A gem in Richmond.

We enjoyed taking time out of our day to have lunch at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. The lunch was buffet style .The orchids in the greenhouse were beautiful. I liked seeing how each plant in the garden was labeled and you could go at your own pace thoughout the gardens.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a calm, soothing and relaxing environment for children and adults. They even have a kids section where parents can relax and watch small children and toddlers play in a safe, beautiful environment. While the grounds are beautiful and well tended, I find this garden a distant second when compared to Maymont.
