“wonderful hotel right on beach with fabulous breakfast”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

stayed here for one night then loved it so much booked for another 5. the staff were fabulous and the breakfast was the best ever - huge amount of choice, Sicilian cakes, bread, omelettes etc and all so thoughtful. we used this as a base to explore Zingaro national park (6 kms up the road) which was an explosion of wildflowers (April) and Segesta. cannot recommend highly enough

Room Tip: book the seafront rooms (3) with a balcony and a view of sea and harbour

This is a perfect peach of a hotel. It's the place you always dreamed of! We had a week here in March which was out of season but still warm and sunny. Castellamare is perfectly situated for exploring this gorgeous area of Sicily and to wake up each morning in our beautiful room and to be treated to an ample but simple breakfast was a real treat. Our room was simple but spacious AND with all the creature comforts - and only about 10 metres from the sea! The hotel is very well run by its young staff who take their hospitality tasks very seriously.

Room Tip: The rooms with terraces at the front have wonderful views

Just back from a short break in Castellammare and this hotel provided a very relaxing base, the management and staff are very friendly and helpful, my room was simple and well equipped, breakfast is Continental with lots of good local produce. Will certainly be back!

I've stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times, and love it. The location is amazing, right on the beach, over looking the marina, and out over the town. The hotel is small and feels family run. It's pretty basic, but Castellammare isn't the type of place I imagine people go to hang out in their hotel room. Some of the rooms are small (I think all of the one on the west side of the hallway), and lack desks and chairs, and somewhere to put your bag. Other rooms are better set up, and roomy enough.

I've always stayed in the off season (although the town this past year seems to have grown and is much busier) and it's been nice to feel like we were the only people there, even though we were not.

Since opening the dependance, the breakfast room and lobby have become much busier, and they were a little slow replenishing the dishes. Breakfast is fairly basic.

Would I stay here again? Definitely! To be honest though, Castellammare has lost the charm that originally drew me there - it used to feel like I was the only person that knew just how great the town was. 8 years ago when ever I told a Sicilian friend that I'd be going there for a few days their response would always be "why?!". Now these same people are driving all the way from Palermo and Trapani for aperativi that last well into the night.

Booked an executive double room with sea view through Booking.com. The staff at reception were welcoming and friendly. The room is furnished well and was a comfortable size. The bed was comfortable but I’m not sure what was under the sheet as the bed was warm and you stuck to the bed – not very pleasant. This was the second time we came across this in Italy and I’m not sure if the mattress cover is plastic or nylon but cotton is the ideal choice for comfort. The bathroom was spacious and very clean however there was limited water pressure from the shower head. The A/C worked well and was easy to regulate the temperature of the room. I thought the price of the room with a sea view was terrific value. The balcony with 2 chairs to enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the marina and sea was most enjoyable (a bottle of wine in the room was 8 Euros – very reasonable price). We spent a couple hours enjoying the balcony prior to dinner and it was very enjoyable. Castellamare del Golfo and the hotel was a pleasant one night stop while traveling around Sicily and we were happy with our choice.

We stood in September of this year and it was amazing. The Manager and staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed our self especially getting to know the staff because they were our translators. Again we had a great time!
Thanks

A gem of an hotel in beautiful surroundings. We chose this hotel based on the reports on Trip Advisor and it lived up to all our expectations. It is right on the picturesque harbour adjacent to some wonderful restaurants. It is small, two floors and all bedrooms have a view of the Marina. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are fridge, T.V. and free Wi-Fi.
Breakfast was substantial with plenty of fresh fruit.
