PROS: Only 35-40 minutes drive from Cagliari Airport. The main building of hotel is full of character and the 2-storey room blocks blend in nicely. It is an extremely quiet and peaceful place, ideal for a relaxing break. It has extensive, well-maintained sub-tropical gardens which stretch down to the infinity pool by the beach. The rooms are adequate but not luxurious, and the beds comfortable - however, our bathroom was on the small side with a tiny shower cubicle with nowhere to put shower gel etc.
CONS: Lots of little niggles. The service was a bit erratic, especially at breakfast (considering this meal is self-service apart from tea and coffee!) They need more staff on Reception. Food was unexceptional and the set dinner was expensive if not part of a half-board deal. The phone socket in our room was hanging off the wall and the connection intermittent. This was pointed out to the maid but nothing was done. We only had one chair in our 'sitting area.' The minibar had disposable plastic beakers for drinks, no proper glasses. Pool towels cost €4 euros a week to hire. Wifi is payable, as has been mentioned many times (why don't they take the hint!) The shuttle bus to Pula and Chia beach is €4 per person each way. Private taxis into Pula (10 mins) were prohibitively expensive @ €15-20 EACH WAY. (Hire a car to get the best out of your stay.) Last but not least, the beach. Oh dear. Beyond the lovely infinity pool is a dirty, scrubby beach covered in seaweed and at times a none-too-pleasant smell wafts in on the on-shore breeze. Such a shame. And please, please, can they install a toilet here? It is a long walk to all rooms from here and it seems unbelievable that no sanitary provision has been made for this area.

Room Tip: Corner 'Bougainvillea' rooms are larger and lighter than those in the middle. First floor ro...

Thank you for visiting Sardinia.
Next time, please take in consideration that always we can do more, expecially if you tell us immediately your needs and things to be changed.
About the seaweeds, they are not seaweeds but "posidonia oceanica", a particular vegetable which grows only when the sea is healty. In this period the sea storms have brought them to the coast till next good winds will return them to the sea, as we are not permitted to move them.
Our casa is close to the sea and it is a relaxing basis to reach in few minutes fantastic beaches by car.
Arrivederci.

I stayed at the hotel Costa dei Fiori this summer with my 2 daughters, and we had a really pleasant stay. It is a very beautiful hotel. The rooms are placed in seperate houses located around the pool and in the beautiful park. This gives the feeling of beeing in a quiet countryside with a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is very serviceminded and friendly, and very helpful with guidance and recommendations if you want to experience the area and the many beautiful beaches and scenery. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one by the pool and one in the garden. The one in the garden has the wood fired stone oven, where they make pizzas for lunch as a choice. Very delicious, and in generel the kitchen is high standard and we enjoyed all meals. One of our favorite relaxation places at the hotel was by the pool overlooking the sea. Fantastic view.

All in all a warm recommendation from us, and if you plan to go to the south of Sardegna, this is definately the hotel to stay at.

Dear Guest, thank you for the great review.
The title is adapt to describe our garden and for the rest we offer semplicity and sardinan kindness, something that is not special but of course authentic.
We look forward to receive another visit.

This was a very lovely hotel, quiet, clean, spacious, delicious food, although a little hard to find down an old track for some reason it gave the hotel an authentic feel. Our only disappointment was wifi/internet access needs improving and should be free these days, apart from that, excellent and will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to our wedding guests next year.

Costa dei Fiori Hotel is a very charming place, about 30 minutes away from Cagliari airport, set in a luscious, very well tended park located on the very shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
Efficient service, management readiness to accomodate guest's needs and friendly ospitality make the staying very relaxing and most enjoying. At the hotel reception, as I have experienced many times, you may also arrange for sightseengs of many, not far away, unforgettable places, many of them among the most beautiful of all Sardinia. The food served at the hotel is at gourmet level as are the wines with which to complement your meal.
I have been there several times, this year as well: believe me, it' vacation at its best!

Room Tip: The bunglows in the park are the quietest.

This charming hotel is secluded in a lovely oasis of palms and pines. All
the rooms overlook the gardens, facing seaward though no sea view which really did not matter because they have beautiful vine covered balconies, arched in the mediterranean style. Our room was absolutely fine. The staff is wonderful. The two pools are superb. The lower one is an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Whilst the hotel appeared to be full, we were not disturbed by anyone. There were families with very well behaved small children, couples and families with older children. Lunch is served in a beautiful pavilion in the park. The food is good though if you are not full board then a car is a must. Also a Satnav or a good map. We had neither which made our arrival interesting. The nearby town of Pula is fairly lively at night but definitely not raucous. My 20 year old daughter and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a quiet and calm break.

This was a last minute short break ,our first without children, so all we wanted was somewhere a cheap flight from Edinburgh which had sun, sea, good accommodation and good food. The hotel arranged a private taxi on request and Tito, the driver, was waiting for us in arrivals. He was very chatty and gave us a wealth of recommendations about where to go , what to do and a bit of info about Sardinia itself. As we approached our destination I was a little concerned that the road leading to the hotel was an unmade track with lots of pot holes bordered by scrubland and a number of what appeared to be badly maintained/ abandoned glasshouses. This impression wasn't helped on arrival at the hotel where the trees and gardens outside the reception appeared wild and overgrown with weeds amongst the shrubs. The reception itself however, was large, modern, clean and comfortable with reception staff that were very welcoming and helpful. The receptionist herself showed us to our room which was Ibiscus grade. Passing the main pool, which looked very inviting in the heat, we noticed that there were only three or four people on the sunbeds which was surprising for just past lunch time. Our room was on the ground floor with a patio which opened straight onto the gardens. Our first impressions were mixed; the gardens were mowed but unkempt and the room furniture could only be described as rustic. I could not initially decide if this was the look the owners were aiming for or that it was just old, well used and in need of refurbishment. Having said that the room, though sparse, was very clean, the towels clean and fluffy and the bed very comfortable. The look of it grew on both of us as our stay progressed. Both pools were salt water which in the main pool was particularly strong. The infinity pool was in a fenced off area across a track from the main hotel. It overlooked the sea and the lifeguard was working very hard to ensure that it stayed clean and sand free. There were plenty of sunbeds but not many people which was great for us. The surrounding fence let the pool area down as it was a bamboo type fence which looked scruffy and in places was damaged. There was no pool side service so you either had to bring your own drinks down or trek back to the hotel. Though overlooking the 'beach' you could not go into the sea without walking across and sinking into the foot thick layer of dried vegetation covering the whole of the seafront nor swim in the water which was full of weeds. For swimming in the sea go to one of the lovely beaches at nearby Chia! The package we had, included the fixed menu as this was the only option on booking but there was an 'A la carte' menu on offer to other guests. The food on the first night was very good, (though you may have struggled to get children to eat it) and this was followed by a simple but good breakfast buffet in the morning. At lunchtime the second restaurant opened in the grounds and served pizzas, salads and various other light foods which again were very good. We ate out the second evening in nearby Pula where there was a music festival in the small square. The food and drink were very cheap with very large portions. The third and last evening was back in the hotel but the meal was disappointing, not helped by the piece of plastic bag found in one of our starters. The head waiter was very apologetic but did not even offer a drink in compensation! Though at first we were sceptical about the hotel we soon grew to appreciate the uniqueness of it and overall had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms and public areas kept spotless. It was very, very quiet but we were later told that the Italians don't holiday until the first week in August so that may explain the apparent lack of guests. Had we had our children I think it would have been a different story. There appeared to be little for children to do apart from a couple of toddlers slides and swings and the small kiddies pool which wasn't shaded. Certainly there appeared to be nothing for the teenagers and the parents we spoke to were taking them to other places to keep them occupied. All in all the hotel provided just what we had wanted and apart from the hiccup with the food on the third night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: No rooms have a sea view. The upgrade to Ibiscus is worth the money.

Dear Guest,
thank you for the positive comments and for having appreciated the quiteness that is always the same also if the casa is full; it is one of the most frequent positive comments we receive.
For the kitchen we prepare fresh products and we are ready to redo the dish if something is wrong, also because we are used to prepare the menu near the service in order to preserve the quality of local products.
We hope to see you soon.
