We have experienced family atmosphere, even though we are neither Sardinian nor Italian and we spoke just a few words in Italian. We spent there just one night and in the morning we planned to start a few-day hike. As all shops were closed on Sunday we found ourselves without any food. Fortunately we were staying at Oliena B&B and the hosts helped us a lot providing us with provisions.
We would like to strongly recommend staying at Oliena B&B to everyone visiting Oliena.

Initially planning to stay just one night, we quickly extended to three after the wonderful welcome we received from our host, Rimedia. The room and bathroom were spacious, modern and completely spotless, with parking right outside. Breakfast was simple but good, with great coffee and a friendly chat every morning. Rimedia and Marco were more than happy to provide sightseeing tips, brochures and maps, as well as coffee and cakes on our arrival. A great find and definitely where we'll be staying on future trips to Oliena.

Just come back from an amazing trekking holiday in Sardinia with friends. We booked B&B Oliena for our second night as we had planned a 7 hour trek at Monte Maccione and Corrasi. Having decided to stretch the itinerary of the day, we found ourselves still walking in the dark on wild terrain at 10pm. We called Rimedia, the owner, to inform her of our late arrival. We were astounded by the kindness and generosity of her offer to send a guide to pick us up on our way down the mountain. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We got back and she had also arranged for a pizza to be delivered for us. Incredible service!! Very spacious and comfortable rooms and great value for money. A definite 10/10 not only for the B&B but for Rimedia too.

B & B Oliena
We have just returned from a glorious week on the beautiful island of Sardinia. Having travelled down the coast from Alghero we travelled into the Barbagia area in the mountains and booked to stay one night in B & B Oleana.
On arriving we were given a very warm welcome by our hosts who made us coffee and offered us cakes. Our room and bathroom were modern, very clean and decorated to a very high standard, with a warm and comfortable bed. We were helped to find the award winning restaurant G Kappa in the town, where we had a delicious meal. Oleana is a charming little town retaining much of its traditional Sardinian character with the older women still wearing their traditional black costumes and shawls.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast before leaving in the morning and said farewell to our friendly and very hospitable hosts. 10/10

Room Tip: We looked it up online before going.

In the heart of the village near Santa Maria church, this spotless B & B is great value for money - a large, warm room (with a really comfortable bed and merino blanket), beautifully hot shower, abundant breakfast, lots of parking space and complete silence at night. The owner, Rimedia’s warm welcome surpassed our expectations of this hospitable village, sheltered by its massive mountain; plenty of evidence of satisfied customers adorned the kitchen in the shape of photos, letters and cards. We were treated more like friends than guests, and look forward to going back!

Room Tip: Ask Rimedia for what you need!
