We ate there 1/5/08, and were more than very disappointed, having been there several times before and have been very pleased in the past. The don't make/offer their own beer anymore, food was sub-par, service not good. Many things on the menu weren't available, and what there was, was not very good. They are under new ownership, and still have a long way to go. We will not be back.

While the food here was never all that great, they always had good beer. The beer was made on the premises and they served several regular and seasonal varieties. Last week I went here to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends and discovered that the entire beer-making operation had been sold to another company. They no longer make or sell their own beer. Now the only beer you can get there is the same as any place else, regular brands in bottles. It was very disappointing. To add to the problems, the regular restaurant and bar apparently closes now at 8 PM (at least it did on the night we were there) so we had to eat upstairs in the "sports bar" where they have a limited menu. The food was sered on paper plates, and what's even worse was that it was freezing in there. It didn't even feel like they had the heat on. I'd steer clear of this place until they get their act together. It's in bad shape. There are plenty of other good places to eat in Lowell's downtown that you could try instead.
