Trani is a lovely relaxing town -citta slow is what is advertised and it is. Lots to see and do especially round the port. Has a great cathedral wonderfully situated and a castella.
The accommodation is unusual- on the second floor but wide stairs. Each of the rooms is in a different style-we had the vibrant 70s room which is very orange. Breakfast was served in a nearby bar giving you a true Italian experience. It is however quite basic. The staff of the bar were very friendly even when Italy got kicked out of the world cup.
We had told the owner the time of arrival. However she wasn't there and we had to go in search of her in order to pay the bill. We needed to know where to park our car and had to insist that they found us somewhere.
Nevertheless this is a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it.More
