We had an awesome stay at the Harding House in Cambridge. The house was inviting, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. All the staff were so friendly and treated us with a personal touch. They offered help, tour coupons, maps, and even umbrellas. The breakfast was great and the dining room always accessible for snacks and tea. I would recommend The Harding House with no reservations.

My partner and I stayed with our two children (ages 9 and 10) while in town for the Boston Marathon. For us, it was pretty much ideal:
1. Spotless, spacious room on the top floor with two twin beds (day bed & trundle) and a queen;
2. convenient to the T and several cafes and restaurants (including Ethiopian, our favorite) but also away from the marathon hubbub, which can be a little much;
3. easy to drive to and we had a spot in the lot the entire weekend;
4. Whole Foods down the street (important for me since I am picky about my diet in the days before a major race);
5. snacks accessible 24 hours in the dining room + amazing breakfast;
6. welcoming and helpful staff.

I plan to book the same room again for the 2012 marathon!

Such a great place to stay! Room was adorable and very comfortable! We had our 3 year old daughter with us and were put in a room with a second twin bed just for her. Rooms were nice and quiet and beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definately recommend the Harding House as a family friendly inn. We will absolutely stay there again the next time we are in town!

What a wonderful surprise this B&B turned out to be. They do bill hemselves as the best lil B&B in Cambridge and they are not joking. So friendly and warm and the bed and pillows were divine. I had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard and was pampered with wine, cheese and biscuits and a more than ample breakfast. Lots of good advice as to where to go and where to eat as well. Would love to come back and stay for a week. If you are travelling alone this is a perfect stop as it has a real safe and homely feel. Just a short walk to everything. Put this one on your bucket list!

Room Tip: Downstairs view of courtyard

The Harding House is a little gem in Cambridge, a beautiful historic home that's secluded yet in the middle of everything this area has to offer. We stayed here for two nights for our Babymoon for a little adult time without our toddler before baby number two arrives. Everything was so perfect. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast with great variety, walking distance to Harvard Yard and the area's best restaurants.

We used wi-fi in the room to keep up with business but mostly just relaxed and took lots of naps. We really liked that we parked our car for free (spots were available because it was a midweek stay) and didn't have to use it while there - we walked to our lunch and dinner spots. I loved the 24/7 availability of healthy snacks, being pregnant there isn't a time I'm not hungry! The service was complete, warm - yet unobtrusive. It felt like staying at the home of a gracious host. I would highly recommend it for couples and even families with kids. I liked that we got to get away, yet it was only a 40 minute drive from our house north of Boston, the drive didn't feel like forever. The only thing that was a little bothersome was the loud air conditioning, but we figured out that if you turn the unit on 'fan only' the air is almost as cold and a lot quieter, so it wasn't a big deal.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary two night stay at Harding House during the launch of their Babymoon Special for an editorial feature on Eco-Babyz.
