“Decent Hotel”

This hotel was adequate. The lobby and rooms could use a facelift because they seem dark and a bit worn. The hotel staff was very efficient and cooperative. The person who cleaned the room did an excellent job - not always true in other hotels.

I needed a hotel close to family in Cambridge for a long weekend visit. This hotel is only 0.4 miles from the T station on the red line. It is close to the Fresh Pond walking trail as well as shopping and groceries. The hotel is a bit dingy but adequate. There was a faint smell of smoke in my non-smoking room. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was included and had an adequate selection. Front desk staff were personable. For unknown reasons the dirty laundry cart was parked near to my door all day and night most of the days I was there. This was all about location for me. It was expensive but then again it was Boston.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and remarkably clean rooms. The breakfast was ample - all sorts of items to choose from. Nice to find a good place to stay in Cambridge. We will be back. I recommend it. Only gripe - there used to be a swimming pool here, but it was closed years ago. Still, a great deal.

This was a very friendly place to stay, even though it was a little bit out of Boston itself, it wasnt full of tourists, more the local Americans, so we got to meet lots of great Americans
The staff were brilliant.

When needing a moderately priced hotel in the Cambridge area we found The Tria, billed as a boutique hotel.
Pros:
The staff was pleasant.
The room clean.
The parking free!!
The breakfast hot and good.
We would stay here again.
Cons:
Breakfast supplies are not replenished thirty minutes before ending.
Bar is small and only operating a few hours in the evening.
The 24 hr coffee is only available until empty and then not refilled.

The staff provided excellent service during check in and made the end of a long trip very enjoyable. The shuttle service to and from the hotel makes this a nice location - just minutes away from Harvard Square and the "T" subway. Rode in on the "T" from Logan Airport, got picked up at Harvard Square, quick and convenient.

Being a Best Western Rewards diamond member, I used my free night voucher which was good at any Best Western branded hotel. Might as well use it at an expensive Best Western! Upon arrival, there was plenty of parking, which was free. It was a fast check in. I wanted an upper floor room, and was given room 334. It was a clean, quiet room. The king bed was comfortable. I used the exercise facility, and all the equipment at the hotel's gym worked fine. The breakfast in the morning had scrambled eggs and many other items that made it a true full breakfast. Metal utensils and real bowls were used during breakfast, not plastic utensils and paper bowls. I enjoyed reading the USA Today newspaper which is free to guests at the Best Western Plus Hotel Tria. Upon departure, it was also a fast checkout. All staff encountered were friendly and professional. Needless to say, my stay at this Best Western property was very positive.

Room Tip: I choose a third floor room, which was quiet throughout the night.
