People from around the world come to visit and learn about holograms, kinetic art, artificial intelligence and original research that has shaped the world. FebFest and the Cambridge Science Festival fill winter and spring school vacation weeks, while the very fun "Friday After Thanksgiving" chain reaction event is held nearby at an MIT gymnasium, while produced by the Museum. The MIT Museum also has a physical and online science-themed store, and the galleries are available for small functions. Located in the Central Square Cultural District the MIT Museum is surrounded by unique restaurants, theaters, music venues and a renowned local ice cream store. Look for our yellow chairs!

We went here (for the 2nd time) with my son's 8th grade class on their trip to Boston. All of the kids loved this museum! It's fun and educational - so neat to see what is created from the incredible minds at MIT.

This is a wonderful place filled with the inventions and whimsy that can only come from engineer artists. It is huge (start on second floor). You will be amazed. Our grandchildren, ages 6 and 9 loved it. We all had trouble leaving as we kept finding more and more to look at.

interesting technical presentations of MIT's involvement in robotics, Polaroid photography, and kinetic art. Surprisingly, some of the video presentations could use better audio to complement the videos.

Quite small, but packed with interesting exhibitions and nerdy facts. When I visited they had lots of robots, holograms and a bunch of kinetic sculptures.

Photography exhibit of large machines and artful mechanical devices that I guess showed some artists are mechanical. It was pretty thin otherwise. I though a Rube Goldberg exhibit would have fit right in.
