From the moment you step into this place there is a great vibe. They rustic door and eclectic decor just works.

The restaurant has a mini market right inside (to the left) and to the right the hostess podium is located.

The menu is so easy to read and the staff super friendly. The chillaquilles for brunch was amazing. The chicken with biscuit literarily needed a gym membership. It was big tons of gravy. The Easter donuts were better than crispy cream and dunkin.

Nice cocktail list

I love this place I can't wait to come back yay!

There are many restaurants that offer great brunches in the Boston/ Cambridge area and Commonwealth is definitely a place that you should put on your dining radar. The menu items are innovative and the portions are HUGE. I come from the mentality that a clean plate is a happy plate, but the chicken and biscuits entrée was so enormous, there was no way I was going to be able to finish it. The sticky bun, described as “ginormous” is a must try, but probably should be split amongst a few people. The atmosphere at Commonwealth is bright and energetic thanks to the many windows, lively music (90s) and pleasant wait staff. Also, be sure to check out the market on your way in or out of the restaurant.

The Marky Mark and the funky Brunch is awesome! The food is fresh and amazing. The lunch sandwich portions are huge and duckfat fries...well, there are no words. You just have to come and try them. The drinks are interesting as well. They don't use maraschino cherries in their drinks but get some special type of cherry from Italy...they rock!!! You can also pick up freshly made food to go, sandwiches, entrees, baked goods, fresh produce. This place is just great.

While visiting family near Cambridge we had lunch at Commonwealth. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. Staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. We ordered sandwiches and salads to share at our table; all that I sampled was delicious. We had our grandchildren with us who asked for pasta. The staff cheerfully checked with the kitchen and brought the off-menu item of buttered pasta to our grateful grandchildren. In addition to having lunch in the restaurant, we enjoyed our stroll through the market.
