“Disappointing”
Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

Came here because of the reviews. Staff was very friendly and quick to serve but it also wasn't very busy at 2:30 on a Wednesday. Looked over the vast number of burgers on their menu and settled on a mushroom and onion and my wife got one with provolone cheese and grilled red pepper. We also got a basket of onion rings. Lots of signs inside bragging about their awards and best burger this and that. Got our onion rings and the server suggested we try then with the sweet relish on the table. We did...good thing too cause the relish was the only thing with flavor. The batter was bland and the onions didn't have any flavor. Got our burgers and more of the same bland food. No flavor at all! I could and do cook better burgers at home for a lot cheaper! Guess all the signs inside are just convincing themselves that they have the best burgers...they evidently believe it cause their prices show they sure are proud of them! Not worth the money in my opinion, I think cardboard has more flavor.

“Good experience”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

Bratley's is a landmark burger restaurant in the Massachussets Avenue just at the opposite side of Harvard Yard. If you take a look at the menu and the names of the burgers, you will certainly laugh. Nice and atasty burgers but hte sweet fries could have been better. Overcooked. The place is craped with people and the tables are pushed together and that's why one star is taken out. During high season, you may interfere with long lines in order to be served. I will always remember the Olympic Burger served with two patties in 2012 (during the Olympic Games in London).

“Very good but missing a few things”
Reviewed July 9, 2014 via mobile

The place is very good in most ways but has 2 very big negatives.
1...NO Restrooms and I thought that was a law that all restaurants have them.
2...NO Credit cards accepted and with the price of their burgers, they need to accept them.

I've been to other very good burger joints and this was among the best but I wouldn't go back. The 2 negatives would keep me away.

“So disappointed....”
Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

We actually make a special trip to Cambridge every year when we come to Boston for the 4th. We found a note on the door that they were closed for the holiday - made a special trip for nothing...waste of time and were very disappointed. While we love this place, I would recommend to call first to see if they're open - and a recommendation to Mr. Bartley's; perhaps use social media when planning not to be open. We were not the only people there who had made a special trip and was quite frustrated.

“Ooh, so cool”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

They seem to think that having cool names for their hamburgers will compensate for serving overpriced greasy burgers. I disagree. There is NOTHING special about the burgers or fries and the soft-serve based milkshakes are pathetic. All this could be overlooked if it was cheap, but it's not.
