Great prices and great food. The decor is very charming with very nice mood lighting and overall ambiance. I remember having and loving the babaganoush (sic) and hummus with an order of pita bread, splitting it with friends, and having a nice hot mint tea to top it all off. Great hangout for college students and locals alike.

I love this place, but I wish it were 20% cheaper - 'course then I would eat there everyday instead of six times a year. This is a nice place to bring cool friends and hang out and share food. It is very casual - the coffee is very expensive and GOOD and the waitstaff are very nice. You should go for the fun atmosphere, yummy food and don't think too hard about how it should be cheaper for such a casual atmosphere.

It would be easy to miss this neighborhood gem because it isn't easily visible ... once you enter the cozy atmosphere and dark orange walls and small wooden tables, you'll be happy you found it. I had the chicken kabob with hummus and salad. Hummus was fresh and the chicken was a bit smoky, yet tender. My companion enjoyed the red lentil soup -- a generous bowl served with a big lemon wedge and plentiful pita -- for just $5.95. The Algiers mint coffee and Arabic cookies made with Ghuraiba , apricots and dates are quite delectable as well. If you're in Cambridge, and you'd like a Mediterranean lunch with a pleasant atmosphere where you can linger for a while, this is the place!

I have been searching for a great falafel since I left San Francisco 30 years ago and I hadn't found one until Cafe Algiers. Our whole family found something they felt was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and well prepared.

In this comfy atmosphere you can take your time lingering over coffee and conversation. Can only speak to the hot drinks, since we didn't get food. Excellent quality fresh brewed tea and coffee, but a little overpriced. Service was fine. There was a problem with the table wobbling, not the best when you're balancing hot drinks.
