“Best burger”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

I have been in this place several times but I have only had the classic Cellar Burger. It simply is the best burger I have ever had in the US so far. Plus – for Italians – there is a poster of Birra Moretti that makes me feel happy each time I look at it.

“Cute place to get dinner and drinks”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

My boyfriend and I recently went here for dinner and drinks. We sat upstairs, although I think there is also a downstairs bar area that also serves food. The restaurant is very cute; overall it is pretty small with some tables and a bar upstairs, and not too noisy. The service was good; our waitress was helpful and very attentive.

For dinner, we got a bunch of small plates and shared them. We ordered the bacon-wrapped dates, pork belly buns, mushroom crostinis, lobster tempura, roasted brussel sprouts, and a pasta special. Our favorites were the bacon-wrapped dates, pork belly buns, brussel sprouts, and the pasta special, which was to die for, but everything was really good.

I would definitely come here again!

“Delicious food, great wine”
Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

I ate the gnocchi with lamb and mushrooms and it was lovely. The variety of wine by the glass is quite broad, the quality is good and the amount they serve you, generous. The waitress was nice, attentive yet not pushy at all. A fantastic way of going our for an early dinner!

“A nice find at the end of a long day”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We were coming into the Boston area on a Sunday night for a college recruiting visit the next morning. We weren't sure of our travel plans and had not made any dinner reservations. We did some internet sleuthing around Cambridge and found this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The menu was small but extremely creative and everything was well executed. We did not have a reservation but they seated us in a side bar area until our table was ready and kept our water glasses filled, always a good sign in any restaurant. We had a grilled cauliflower with pesto appetizer which was unusual and delicious and a curried root vegetable based soup with "crispy pig's feet" that was also good. Entries were well presented with delicious sauces and a nice touch of using rosemary on the frites. Service was excellent and folks sitting at neighboring tables actually talked to each other. A woman sitting next to us told us about her venison entrée which looked amazing.
