We went to an event at the Cambridge Multicultural Center and wanted dinner first. This is within easy walking distance when I was looking for restaurants. The food was very good and the service excellent. This is clearly the kind of place where people in the neighborhood come to hang out and grab a bite.

We plan to return.

Walking neighborhood with many restaurants not open on Monday night. Not too impressive from the outside but inside looks like a family owned environment. Service is prompt. Menu selection is good. I ordered grilled fish, free salad, lentil soup were excellent.

One of my colleagues, who is from Greece, took a group of us out to dinner at Desfina. He ordered all the courses for us at the table, from apps to entrées. His selections were outstanding. The grilled octopus was my favorite, with the lamb chops being a close second. The salad dressing is one of the best...have to use the bread to take it all in. Desfina has great food and is definitely one of the best Greek places in Cambridge.

After a tiring day visiting Boston, we wanted a quiet place for a glass of wine and dinner near our hotel (the Hampton Inn). After reading other reviews, we strolled a few blocks to Desfina and were not disappointed. This is a cozy, quiet, neighborhood place. The staff was friendly and we were seated near a window so we could watch the passersby. I ordered the lamb shish kabob and my husband had the moussaka. The bread was great and the salads were fine (the dressing is a lemony vinaigrette -- very good). There was an extra charge for feta on the salads (75 cents) but it was worth it. The lamb kabob was perfectly done, as were the grilled vegetables. The side of roasted potatoes was bland. The moussaka was rich and delicious. All in all, a fine meal to end our day.

We came here after looking for a reasonable Middle Eastern restaurant for dinner. It wasn't so reasonable but the food was definatly very good! The food is with Greek spices and the lamb is excellent! Very tender and tasty with good spices! The chicken wasn't as tender but was still very tasty! The spices used here were good and the rice was good as well. A nice place to try for Middle Eastern in Cambridge.
