Description: Opened in 1996, Grafton Street Pub & Grill has been a beloved institution of Harvard Square for almost two decades. This neighborhood hotspot is named after the spirited cobblestone-lined shopping district in Dublin's famed Temple Bar area. Grafton Street deftly combines the warmth and coziness of a traditional neighborhood pub with the aesthetic of a contemporary restaurant. During the summer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Grafton Street's spacious sidewalk patio. The restaurant offers full bar service and boasts a seasonally-changing wine list with over 75 varieties, as well as a robust selection of craft beers from several local breweries.

If you're spending some time around Harvard Square, don't miss Grafton Street. It is a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, nice terrace, very friendly and quick staff, really good honest food and all at a very reasonable price. We went there for a late breakfast and were not at all disappointed. The coffee also had a decent strength, something that you don't always find in Boston.

On a sunny day the terrace will be packed, but it has a good number of tables and there is a good flow of people coming and leaving, so you don't have to wait that long if it's not 'prime time'. And inside is pleasant as well, both on a sunny day with the big windows open, or on a rainy day, gazing at the people passing by.
We were there for a late breakfast, but I could also see us hanging out at the bar with a red wine and a good local beer. It's a place that transforms itself throughout the day.

Very convenient location, close to Harvard bookstore, Harvard campus and red line stop. And nice staff. Did I mention the nice staff?! Worth a visit. Don't miss it!

What I like about this place is its ability to change appearance. You can go there for a business lunch midweek, take your kids there on the weekend (calamari always a hit), grab a drink after work (good beer selections on tap), and then late at night all the beautiful people show up and there is occasionally dancing. Oh yes, also a lot of European soccer on the TVs. If I can say, this is a much better "Grafton Street" to visit than the one in Dublin (the street, I mean), which has lost its charm. And I say this as a proud Irish-American.

Sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Good local beer selection. Brunch menu was solid. Irish sub-theme, but traditional breakfast. Hollandaise sauce on either Benedict - Irish ham or avocado - was very good. Good atmosphere.

The lobster mac and cheese was very good. The service was fast even though the restaurant was very busy.
