Description: Opened in 1996, Grafton Street Pub & Grill has been a beloved institution of Harvard Square for almost two decades. This neighborhood hotspot is named after the spirited cobblestone-lined shopping district in Dublin's famed Temple Bar area. Grafton Street deftly combines the warmth and coziness of a traditional neighborhood pub with the aesthetic of a contemporary restaurant. During the summer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Grafton Street's spacious sidewalk patio. The restaurant offers full bar service and boasts a seasonally-changing wine list with over 75 varieties, as well as a robust selection of craft beers from several local breweries.

“Good choice, and good value, in Harvard Square”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Had dinner here before an event at Sanders Theater. We shared the beet salad, I had pork porterhouse, and my wife had scallops. The food was very good, and all portions were pretty large, particularly the beet salad and the pork. Prices were reasonable given the quality and the quantity of the food, especially for the Square. Service was very good. Ambience was relaxed and pleasant. Overall, would come here again and would recommend the restaurant - good middle ground between the formal/expensive places and the student-oriented, really casual places.

“Bit of a bummer”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Ate alone at the bar whilst on a business trip. Ordered mushroom pizza, unfortunately there were few mushrooms at all, and so many red onions it was not good. The bartenders were only speaking with patrons who wanted to talk sports. Not impressed.

“This is a favourite Cambridge restaurant”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

Food here is brasserie style which I love. Good range of starters, mains and desserts on the menu. As a regular visitor to this part of the US, I have eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed the experience.

Service is good, the tables are nicely spaced apart so you do not feel as if you are sitting on top of diners at adjoining tables.

Good location, close to Harvard and there is always a nice buzz about the place. I will be back!

“Excellent food harvard square”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

The beet salad was huge and good, not the best I have had, but still very good. Loved the candied nuts in it. My Salmon was fresh and delicious and was wild salmon and cooked to perfection. My friend had the ravioli and I had some and it was obviously fresh made and delicious. My Rioja wine I enjoyed. The service was quick and excellent and the decor is perfect for a date. Overall a great dinning experience.

“First Class steps from Harvard”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

This place can pass for anything from your classic pub to a fine dining experience. With proximity to Harvard, this is a happening place with every type of crowd. Seems a good place to meet people and have a great time. Food is outstanding with interesting menu options. Very good beer and wine selections. Prices are very reasonable.
