Description: Opened in 1996, Grafton Street Pub & Grill has been a beloved institution of Harvard Square for almost two decades. This neighborhood hotspot is named after the spirited cobblestone-lined shopping district in Dublin's famed Temple Bar area. Grafton Street deftly combines the warmth and coziness of a traditional neighborhood pub with the aesthetic of a contemporary restaurant. During the summer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Grafton Street's spacious sidewalk patio. The restaurant offers full bar service and boasts a seasonally-changing wine list with over 75 varieties, as well as a robust selection of craft beers from several local breweries.

Ate lunch here during a quick business trip to Cambridge and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The sandwich and the sweet potato soup were perfect on a chilly, Fall day. The atmosphere - part urban chic part college town fun - was very pleasant. I will go there again next time.

One recommendation - go here!

Great food, including traditional and modern. We shared starters plus a main, and it was perfect. The wine was great, services very good and we didn't feel rushed at all. This was despite a late setting and people still arriving after us.

I definitely recommend the Lobster Mac and Cheese as an indulgence and just wish I'd had time for dessert.

Service by a young woman university student who was attentive and competent. Burger and fries were pretty good, but beer selection for a pub like this should be more complete. Still, the Harpoon Pale Ale was just right. Ordered at 10:30 p.m. and sat out on the sidewalk, able to hear different languages and people watch. If you go for the experience, this is a very nice option just off of campus.

I travelled to Boston in June, the food was overpriced and sucked. Fish and chips were the worst, and the service was even worse. Our waitress was a total ditz who everything had to be repeated to, our meal took ages we complained only to be met by what I can honestly say was the most hostile management I've ever met, she was not apologetic but snappy . Horrible management, horrible staff and horrible food. don't eat there

Grafton St. Restaurant has it in the bag with this corner location. If you are seated early enough take advantage of their outdoor patio. The perfect time is just before twilight catching the sunset and late summer breezes.People watching is an added feature as the students from around the world cruise in and around this hip joint. What really caught my attention was some of the unusual {in the sense that they are hard to find} food items listed. I opted for the country pate plate with several styles of French liver terrines, mustard and garnishes. The waitress was savvy enough to asked if I knew what I had ordered just making sure that I would enjoy it to the fullest...and yes I had . Beer was the choice to wash it all down.It was cold and refreshing. They had several on tap and in bottles not forgetting a great selection of wines. The bar was fully stocked with all the needed booze to satisfy everyone. The restaurant had a rustic modern decor. The area inside was open ,clean and busy.As long as Harvard is thriving I'm sure Grafton ST. Restaurant will also be a cool happening place. James M.
