“Best tiny cafe inside a great independent bookstore”
Reviewed August 10, 2012 via mobile

This review is for Zings inside Porter Square Books. They get their sweet treats from local vendors. A nice selection of fresh sandwiches from Oxford Cafe and the most delicious soft Vietnamese Spring Rolls. Fair trade coffee, iced and hot herbal teas, and my favorite ginger lemonade.
Grab a seat or wander the fabulous bookstore, you won't be disappointed for a quick healthy bite.

“Non-touristy Cambridge”
Reviewed May 31, 2012

Usually stay near Central Square but chose this area for cost and access. Glad I did. Mostly residential area, old houses. Nice shopping area and good restaurants. Lesley College within steps of T Red Line. Many students but quiet. Big Shaw's grocery store, nearby a wonderful wine store (beer and hard liquor). Lots of restaurants. I plan to stay here again next year.

“Porter is Okay”
Reviewed January 16, 2012

Not as much in the area as Davis Square, but only a short drive or bus ride to Davis Square, it does have Red Line Service as well and is closer to Harvard Square. Is more residential than Davis Square, and less of a College area.
