My boyfriend and I celebrated his 30th birthday at the Hotel Marlowe over the weekend. We have been raving about our experience to everyone we encounter! We were greeted by very accomodating workers, who noted that we would be celebrating a birthday. When we returned to our hotel room later in the night, our bed had been turned down, there were chocolates on the pillows, leopard print robes on our bed, and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The lovely girl who checked us in (Sophia), had included a hand-written note with our bottle of wine, wishing us a wonderful birthday celebration. We were thrilled with the funky, luxurious decor throughout the hotel; it's absolutely gorgeous. We also loved the complimentary wine hour in the living room. The hotel is reasonably priced, and a truly phenomenal place to stay. We will definitley be returning!

There's not much I can say about the Hotel Marlowe that hasn't already been said!

We stayed 4 nights including Labor Day weekend. Check-in was quick and efficient. We were given a lovely King room on the 5th floor with views of the Charles River and Royal Sonesta Hotel. The room was very clean and beautifully furnished. The rich colors of gold and crimson are used throughout. The bathroom was also large and very clean. Water pressure and temp were both perfect in the shower. The lighting is a little too low for putting on make-up so be sure to use the magnifying mirror! The room was complete with the funky leopard print bathrobes, which were fun.

We were very pleased with the housekeeping service - requests for extra towels were always met. We had turndown service three of the four nights and were welcomed back with music playing, chocolates on the pillows and our robes on the bed.

Many have mentioned the coffee service in the Living Room each morning - the coffee is fantastic and served from 6:30 til 11:00. The hotel also offers a wine hour from 5:00 - 6:00 and served a red, a white and a local beer each day. You are welcomed to hang out in the Living Room or take your wine to your room.

I must compliment the staff - everyone we dealt with was wonderful. One of the girls from the front desk spoke to me by name the second day. I was impressed as the hotel was sold out! The valet also arranged transportation by private vehicle to the airport for us since there were 3 of us going together. It was no more expensive than a cab.

We ate in the restaurant, Bambara, several times. The first day it was for "bar food" - try the sliders - they are fantastic. We also had 2 breakfasts, which were fine. My sister raved about the "Power Lunch" - a great meal of soup or salad, sandwich and cookies for $12. A great price for Boston.

There is a nice area outdoors for sitting and a lovely garden in the center courtyard. There is also a small park next door and we spent some time sitting by the canal, as well as walking the riverbank across the street.

The only negative thing I can say (and I'm not looking to be negative) is that our room had a total of 2 drawers to put your clothes in! I gave them both to my husband and lived out of my suitcase. This is the first time we have ever stayed in a hotel where we didn't have enough room for our clothes. However, the many amenities made me overlook this one drawback in a flash.

The Galleria Mall is connected to the hotel so you don't need to go outside to get there. It is great for grabbing a quick breakfast and you can sit outside by the canal to eat.

We would definitely stay here again. The Lechmere T-stop is close by and the T can get you where you need to go but be prepared to have to change trains somewhere down the line.

We looked forward to our stay at the Hotel Marlowe all summer and it certainly did not disappoint.

We have stayed at this Kimpton property twice now and will look no further when visiting Boston in the future. They have a welcoming policy towards dogs and all staff have been friendly. Comfortable beds and decent bath products. The coffee and wine in the "living room" are a nice touch. The restaurant within the hotel serves delicious food and great drinks. The hotel is just across the road from the Charles River, so rooms on that side have a lovely view of Boston. Highly recommended, even if you don't have man's best friend sharing your room!

We wanted a little long w-e getaway and took a chance on Marlowe. After reading reviews we booked and were very pleased. The hotel is quite funky/chic, clean & they have excellent staff who even booked a tour for us, and sent up a bottle of wine as we celebrated a birthday. The fact that it is linked to a mall-definitely a bonus! More than anything, its a 5 min walk to the nearest subway station which gave us the flexibility to get around everywhere in Boston itself. It was definitely worth staying in Cambridge if you stay at Hotel Marlowe vs staying right in the heart of Boston. The price and place were hard to beat!

My wife and I stayed at the Marlowe for the first time last week. The hotel is unique and fun, and the staff is very friendly. Our room was extremely quiet and comfortable. Overall, the hotel is a great value and an interesting place to stay. Our only compliants were with the front desk operation. The people were very pleasant to deal with, but it's hard to imagine why we couldn't get a copy of our bill at checkout, or why they couldn't break a five dollar bill for tip money. Come on guys! Bottom line - stay at the Marlow but bring your own ones!

Stayed four nights at the Hotel Marlowe and just had an excellent experience. From the time we checked in till we left, everything was perfect. The staff are helpful, friendly and informative.
The rooms are comparable to rooms at Bellagio in Vegas. The decor is new, comfortable and up to date.
This is a boutique Hotel so not too big or busy. A great location outside of the city and very easy to get to. Cab ride over the bridge to anywhere in the city is about $10.00. We took the trolley 2 days and caught it right across the street from the Hotel.
This Hotel is attached to the Galleria Mall - you don't even have to go outside. Great stores. You can catch a boatcruise along the river right from the mall. Any questions or if I can help email me at jamie-home@sympatico.ca.

My husband and I spent the weekend here. We were just there to sightsee, having never been to Boston. I would absolutely stay here again. The decor is funky and eclectic. Gorgeous room, comfy bed, and really cool robes! Plus it is dog friendly. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Great location- close to the "T" (subway) or about a $10 cab ride to anywhere.
