“filthy, but a great view”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

walking along the Charles river is a pleasant experience, especially in the fall. It makes Cambridge/Boston very pretty, though the river is filthy itself!

“Give the boat ride a go”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Crew very knowledgable and gives information and tips to help you during your stay in Boston. The trip lasts about an hour and you get to hear information about both sides of the river. Worth the money.

“Nice for running, walking, meditating.”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

On a cold, wintry evening, walking on the Cambridge side was just the right place with the righ environment to match my mood. Not too crowded, but good for meditating. Skyline of Boston is laid out in front of you.

“Rolling along”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

The river looks like it has undergone a major cleanup and overhaul. There are many launch sites and boathouses for the various skulling and rowing crews. lot's of parks and places to sit and watch the boats and picnic. Parks could use more trash cans and they should be emptied more freguently. Overal, we found Boston and Cambridge very dirty and trash all over the streets, especially near the cafes with outside dining. It's like the cleaners are on strike and the cafe's don't send the staff outside to pick up trash on and from their place of business. Starbucks, boooo!!!

“Charles River Boat Tour”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

I'm a Boston native and my husband and I just recently went on the 60 minute Charles River Boat tour that leaves from the Galleria in Cambridge. I would highly recommend this! It's cheap - only $15 a person and the view you get from the Charles is just beautiful. There are cushioned folding chairs to sit on that I thought were really comfortable. Plus you're surrounded by sailboats and the duckboats! As you cruise along there is a person narrating things in an entertaining and informative way. As mentioned before there is also a cash bar and bathrooms onboard. I think this is a great thing to do for anyone visiting Boston or for just a fun day adventure if you already live here! Also you can get your parking ticket validated (parking is under the Galleria mall) by the boat company and then you can park all day for just $4.
