We have stayed at the Charles Hotel now for three years in a row during the Head of the Charles Regatta, which coincides with our Anniversary. We are re-booked for next year! The Charles Hotel is the best and most convenient place to stay during the Rowing Regatta!

location is great...pricing was on verge of being gouged...beds were very used and squishy soft...little sleep...so the overall experience was severely and adversely impacted by the worn beds...as well as little water pressure for showers

Just completed a stay for the Head of the Charles. This was my third year staying at The Charles and it was as good as ever! The location cannot be beaten and the service and comfort is top-notch. Can't wait to come back next year!

This hotel is 5 minutes from Harvard(walking) so super convenient given the tight parking in Cambridge. Common areas are quite nice. We arrived at midnight so did not get to really utilize amenities. We had a one bedroom suite. Bed was super firm(too much for me). Pillows were good. Bedroom had no room to spare. Living room area was spacious. Bathroom was fine but a little on the small side for a suite. My one complaint is that we requested a rollaway bed in addition to the sleeper sofa for our 2 kids and in spite of my calling the day of our arrival about this the room was still only stocked with 2 towels and inadequate shampoo,etc. Attention to this sort of detail is what really sets a hotel apart. However, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again if I wanted access to Harvard

My room's closet smelled weird.

My room was not regularly cleaned.

There was no coffee machine.

My linens smelled weird and were not replaced even though I hung the request notice on my door.

The first meal I ordered was not adequate. The hamburger was undercooked and tasted weird. The fries were burnt.

The staff were unfriendly in the gym. They did not answer my questions about directions around the hotel politely.

The food during the conference was sub-par. It was very oily and salty. Staff were rude when serving.

Staff during the conference were pushy and rude. We were not given adequate time at the food stations.

Supplies during the conference were low. We were given one pen at the beginning of the conference. We were not provided a second when we requested it.

I trust this feedback will be helpful for the future. Please contact me regarding compensation for these issues.
