Friends and myself stopped here for a bite to eat before a film watch...I had a scrambled egg sandwich on a bagel that was delicious..All of the sandwiches looked overstuffed and appetizing..The decor is cute and retro...If you are hungry, this is good place to go before a show or movie..

Menu is awesome. The Sweet Potato fries are so sweet and SPICY, but you just can't stop eating them. The smoothies are really real fruit. Wait can be long because it is so popular, so get there early or plan to wait accordingly.

Went to The Friendly Toast for breakfast on our way out of Cambridge on 8/18 (4 of us- 2 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 13). From magazine reviews I knew it was very popular with the local set. It was VERY hard to find (particularly for out of town visitors) as it is kind of tucked away in a business park. However, with some help from some friendly Cambridge folks, we did eventually find our way there for breakfast and it was WORTH it!! Funky decor (which we thought was pretty cool), friendly waitstaff and DELICIOUS food made it a great place to end our stay in the Boston Area. The portions are HUGE (Pancakes are the size of a large plate). Considering the portion size and food quality, I did not find them the least bit overpriced. My suggestion is to go EARLY-- we arrived there @ 8:30 and found a table with no trouble, but when we left 45 minutes later it was packed and lots of folks were waiting to be seated. They serve breakfast all day, but also have lunch and dinner menus as well.

Interesting "busy" decor. Food was very good, BUT expensive. Worth it? Yes. Not with a bunch of kids however. Breakfast set me back $140 clams! It was all good. Reminded me of the restaurant in Pulp fiction, with the dance contest? Staff was "stand-offish" but efficient. Bathroom facilities were concerning, as they were outside, then downstairs to seemingly "public" restrooms? With young kids, this was not comforting when needed.

Great location fun decor loved the 50's kitchen tables. Pancakes with homemade whipped cream was terrific. Loved the Green eggs and Ham with triple herb sauce. Healthy and big portion for fruit salad. Good service too. Need to go to NH next
