“What you see is what you get”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

This place is really a lot of fun to go to with friends. It is unpretentious, and the food is what you would expect for the price and style of restaurant. The bar is a very nice place to meet friends for a drink before dinner, or just to have a drink. The decor is terrific.

“Funky way to start the day”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Our kids are finally getting to an age where we can be a little more adventurous with our dining options and Friendly Toast was a great example of this. They all loved the kitschy decor, formica tables, and old-fashioned style menu.
The waitstaff looked a bit Amy Winehouse-ish, with some colorful style and tattoo options and could not have been nicer to us or our kids. Our kids loved looking at it all.
The food was tasty and the portions were sized well--not too big or small. I enjoyed the Guy Scramble and my husband had Huevos-- lots of avocados in both, yum. The kids had M&M or Choc. chip pancakes--it was vacation after all!
Bring cash, although I REALLY appreciated the contact paper covered ATM in the restaurant that does not charge an extra fee.

“1 pancake is enough!”

This place just rocks! Great food, service and decor. The home fries are the BEST!!!! The portions are big but good. The drinks options are also amazing. I will keep coming back here again and again.

“Great breakfast”

We found this place because it was on man vs food. I got the Greek omlet and it was packed with spinach. We also shared the coconut pancakes that were good

“Great Omelets”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We have been to Friendly Toast twice in the last couple months. We love the omelets. They have a great different variety of dishes. You might have to wait a while so be prepared. We have been to the Friendly Toast in Portsmouth NH and the food is just as good. We like the Portsmouth better. The restaurant seems more authentic. The Cambridge location seems newer and the decorations seem like props. Not a big deal the food is good. We will be back.
