We stayed with our 18 yr old daughter for 3 nights at the end of August. We were greeted by Johan and he was very helpful and gave advice on transportation and local eateries. Cambridge is a pleasant town and the apartment is a 5 min stroll from the subway. The apartment was well appointed and had a feel of home with personal touches in the furnishings from the owner. Great value - would return again if ever fortunate enough to visit this part of the world again.

we had relaxing and and exciting visit in Cambridge/Boston. Staying at Frost House a comfortable spacious homey environment, walking distance to great cafes, T and Cambridge attractions made it a delightful experience.
Karin and Johan provided us with great information and made sure all our needs were met.
My sister and family were able to join us in the last minute and luckily an additional apartment was available- a great place for family reunion.

This was our second trip to Boston as a family (young child). We stayed in Apartment #3 out of seven (or eight?) units, which had two separate entrances, one through the main entrance and the second via the fire escape. The latter definitely not recommended for those afraid of heights or with heels!

There was a LCD TV, a DVD player and wireless Internet, although the connection was sometimes weak. It had a full kitchen in case you wanted to cook, but places like Anna's Tacqueria (cheap and yummy!) two blocks away, you might find yourself frequenting it or other nearby restaurants.

All in all, a very convenient location (right by the T) that is cheap and central. I highly recommended it, unless you prefer 5-star hotels!

The apartment was gorgeous and the host was kind and a joy to make conversation with. The apartment was even larger than we expected, and was immaculate when we arrived. There were plates, cups and cooking utensils, pots and pans stocked in the kitchen, as well as toiletries in the bathroom. The location is literally a 3 minute walk from Massachusetts Ave, which has tons of unique little shops, as well as a City Sports location, and last but not least, the Porter Square T stop. There is also a 24-hour deli nearby that was very convenient for a late night snack. My fiance and I have already agreed that on our next trip up to Cambridge, we will definitely be booking with Karin at Frost House again.

My husband, two teen-aged sons, and I stayed in number 7 of Frost House. The accommodations were roomy, clean, and convenient. Frost House is about 2 to 3 blocks from both the T (which can take you just about anywhere in Boston and the surrounding area), and a shopping plaza with a grocery store, wine shop, ice cream shop, Duncan Donuts, and hardware store. We parked our van and didn't move it until our stay was over. We also brought our bikes along and found Cambridge to be very bicycle friendly, although I wouldn't recommend it for young children due to the traffic. Frost House is located in a great neighborhood. May sons enjoyed the free wireless internet access, but were a bit disappointed that there was only one TV which was located in our bedroom. There was an extra TV in a closet, so we hooked that one up...not a billion channels, but that isn't our personal priority as parents. The accommodations included a roomy living area that included a futon plus two more day beds (which is where our boys slept), a small kitchen with the all the basics, a roomy bedroom, a full bathroom and a coin operated laundry room located in the basement. Our boys are 14 and 16 and were able to ride the T by themselves to visit a Borders store in Boston, and see a movie. The roominess and location of this Frost House apartment helped to make our vacation a great one for both teenagers and adults. Our host, Karin, was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this apartment to other families looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Boston.

Great value, great location, spacious, relaxed environment. Easily accessible by car or public transport, walking distance to Harvard Square.
We enjoyed the comfort, the amenities and the feeling of being "at home".
Only drawback was lots of stairs (equivalent to being on 3rd floor); great exercise, but not for the weak-kneed.

The accommodations at the Frost House were perfect for what I was looking for. Karen, the manager was very helpful. The room was large, clean, and bright with natural light from the many windows. Having off street parking was a real plus. I would stay there again. Colleen Fisher
