It is interesting driving and walking through the university area, one minute you are near lecture buildings the next you are walking through shops and restaurants and amongst student accommodation.

Try and time your trip here to include lunch at the food trucks so you can take in the activity of campus life. There were three food options when I visited, and I believe all accepted both credit cards and cash (though you don't get a receipt, so if you're there for work make sure you use the email receipt option. Campus is beautiful and there are many colorful chairs in the open yard space, if you don't want to lounge in the grass and eat lunch, which is something I highly recommend.

I didn't take the tour, but enjoyed wondering around campus. I'm at another ivy league school, so beautiful old building's and history are something I'm used to, but it was still well worth the trip up to Cambridge!

The architecture on the grounds of Harvard University is diverse and beautiful. Make sure to take your picture next to John Harvard Statue and see the beautiful library, church, and amazing gothic dining hall/theatre building.
