When the hotel understood that we didn’t want a fancy Italian meal for our last meal in Italy we were recommended to this excellent busy pizzeria, well-frequented by locals.
The pizzas were excellent– even the standard margherita at 6 euros had excellent tomato and cheese, and with a little olio piccante it was perfect.
Starters were very good - antipasto sor Capanna for 10 euros had nice prosciutto and sausage although it came with an unadvertised bowl of tripe in a tomato and cheese sauce (managed most of it) – but I would have had the other antipasto if I’d had the sense to ask what mine comprised.
The house wine was outstanding value at five euros for a bottle - we had to have a second bottle to check that the first wasn't a mistake. You couldn’t get wine that good in a supermarket for that price.
Highly recommended but be aware that you may need a reservation on Sunday night.
