“Fantastic in every way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

My husband and I stayed one night here at the Inishduff House as we were attending a family wedding close by. We don't normally stay in B & Bs in fact it has been about 20 years since we stayed in one. This B & B has totally changed our minds. We have stayed in 5 star hotels and not been looked after like this. We arrived very late and Ethna waited up for us and gave us a lovely cuppa and home baking.
It was fantastic!!!! Everything about it is first class. Can't say any more.

My parents have just returned from a 3-night stay at Inishduff House and although normally reserved and slow to praise, they have waxed eloquent about their wonderful stay at this 'faultless' establishment.
My mother has a number of health problems and I had explained the situation to Ethna when I was making the booking on their behalf. She immediately suggested a ground floor bedroom, which was so handy and convenient for them.
My mother and father state that nothing was too much trouble and they felt welcome, relaxed and totally 'at home' from the outset.
The place was spotlessly clean, decorated to an exceedingly high standard and the breakfasts were delicious.
They were attending a wedding in the locality and Ethna went 'the extra mile' by suggesting they pop back for a very welcome cup of tea after the ceremony and prior to the reception.
I had been somewhat concerned about my mother's health and how she would fare on this trip - but once I had spoken to Ethna I just knew they would be in 'safe hands' & so it proved to be!
I am indebted to Ethna for the courtesy , care and consideration she afforded my parents during their stay - thus ensuring they enjoyed a much-needed carefree break. I commend Inishduff House to you without reservation. Thank you so much Ethna, God bless xxx

Ethna knows her business. The building, rooms and grounds are delightful. It is a short walk across the road to the sea. Ethna is an invaluable guide to the sights and opportunities in this charming corner of Donegal. We hope to return and wouldn't want to stay any where else. Despite my suggestion, my brother stayed at another spot and was disappointed.

Having just returned from four days in Donegal, I had to write a quick review of my stay with Ethna at Inishduff House. In every way, Ethna provided a level of warmth and hospitality that made our stay with her a highlight of our time on the ruggedly beautiful Donegal coast.

The views of Donegal Bay from her impeccably maintained inn are the stuff of Ireland calendars - except unlike with the calendar you can open your oversized windows and breathe in the sea air!

As an innkeeper, Ethna is a consummate professional. But she also brings so much more to that role - going out of her way to provide sightseeing tips, dining recommendations, and even a lovely afternoon cup of tea when we got back from our days of touring the wild beauty of County Donegal.

Breakfast at Inishduff House is an absolute treat - I became addicted to the poached eggs, locally-sourced sausage, and fresh-out-the-oven brown bread - but Ethna offers several options for all different palates. The dining room features huge picture windows overlooking the Bay, so don't bother bringing the newspaper to the table - you'll be too distracted by the view!

If, like me, you've stayed at a lot of B&B's over the years, you can tell when the proprietors are "phoning it in" or going the extra mile. In every way, Ethna provides a guest experience at Inishduff House that's above and beyond what you might expect. I'm delighted to recommend her place if you're planning a voyage to this very special corner of Ireland.

You never really know what you're going to get at a B&B, even based on reviews, because everyone's opinion is a little different, but the rave reviews here regarding Ethna and Inishduff House are right on target. We had a wonderful, large room overlooking Donegal Bay with a comfortable bed and lovely linens for three whole nights. The room had everything you could want, including tissues, hairdryer that works, dressing table with good mirror in the bedroom so one's partner can be showering at the same time. Ethna even puts fresh ice water with real glasses in the room each day. The bathroom also has everything, too, including large shower (not the typical phonebooth size), a sink with 1 faucet that mixes hot and cold water rather than a separate hot and cold spigot, washcloths (and not many B&Bs provide them), My husband and I agree with the reviewer who said Ethna makes the best omelettes ever. Everything she served was delicious, including the best yogurt I have ever tasted. She even has wrapped snacks available for her guests. The house was purpose-built and is solid as a rock. No creaky floors or rattling windows. No drafts. Ethna gave us good directions to great places. We felt that we received very good value for the money and made a new friend as well. Thank you, Ethna!

I had the pleasure to stay overnight in the inishduff with my husband we were given a very friendly welcome by the owner who greeted us on arrival and offered us tea and scones and showed us to our room with views offer the sea looking out towards bundoran the room was spacious and spotless with a very comfortable bed. the breakfast the next morning was plentiful and tasty and the owner offered us good sight seeing advice and scenic routes to take on our onward journey I will definitely return to the inishduff when in that area again

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. We came to the area primarily to the do the Slieve League hike, which was beautiful and well-worth the trip.

Ethna was so nice the entire time. She is available to be helpful, but not hovering over her guests. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from the bedroom window.

She brought us tea, coffee, and water for our room. The breakfasts filled us for the day, and we would just grab small snacks for lunch in town. There was ample parking. The B&B is up a long drive, which is nice, because the road its on is very windy and narrow.
