Stayed at hawthorn lodge for a night with my three boys.Fantastic welcome by Ursula and the boys were delighted with the lovely gardens and footballs to play with.We were most happy with the fact that we were provided with a cot and baby blankets for our 2 year old and the boys loved the fact they each had heir own beds.Breakfast was lovely and the baby had his own high chair set at he table.Ursula was helpful and friendly and took great time to chat and make sure we had everything.Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this b and b to any family or couple travelling in east Clare. Thanks to Ursula for making us feel most welcome. Will definitely stay again in near future.

Hi Sinéad. Thanks very much for taking time out in your busy schedule to write that wonderful review. Your boys are delightful and I'm so glad you all enjoyed staying with us. There is lots to do in the area for Kids so it was great you could experience some of it and we look forward to meeting you all again sometime you're in the East Clare. Best wishes, Ursula.

We spent 10 days with Ursula and her family while our daughter was dancing with the Muggivan School of Irish Dance's "Dance on the Shannon". It was truly our "home away from home". Ursula was an amazing host. We were well taken care of, the breakfasts were wonderfully delicious and always "made to order". Ursula was always open to assisting us with our daily hiking plans, made sure we had water for our backpack and was willing to make sure we had everything we needed for our afternoons and evenings. Our room was wonderfully comfortable and we had everything we needed to make our stay relaxed and welcomed. Ursula and her family even came to the dance concert, on the last day of the camp and joined us all at the local pub for fun later!! Can not say enough for the personalized, gracious care we were provided during our stay. We will be back!

Hi Paula, Wow thanks for the fantastic review, we were delighted to have met you all and enjoyed our chats with you - very informative on all sides. It's always rewarding when people say it's "home from home" because that means they are very comfortable & happy to stay with us. We do have lovely walks around us and you were very lucky with the lovely weather too! Looking forward to
seeing you all again sometime. Best wishes & thanks again for taking the time to review our home. Kind regards, Ursula & Noel.

we stayed in this B&B for a family event near by. The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were lovely. The garden was really big and a trampoline for the kids to play in. The family was really nice and friendly and their kids played with our kids. The breakfast was lovely. I will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: All three rooms lovely.

We just stayed for over a week in Mountshannon while my daughters participated in Dance on the Shannon Irish Dance Camp Abroad. Ursula and her family were very gracious hosts and made our stay exceptionally pleasant. The room was spacious enough for our family of 4 (with 2 tween girls) and our loads of luggage. Everything was impeccably clean and it was obvious that Ursula pays close attention to detail. The beds were comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious and Ursula was very accommodating to our needs. She and her family made us feel very welcomed. We travel often and I usually become restless after a few nights in the same hotel, but I could have easily stayed longer in Mountshannon. I very much look forward to our return!

My wife and I spent two nights at this most delightful B&B. Wish it could have been more, but we are sure to return. Fresh, clean rooms, good and hearty breakfasts and two of the most delightful hosts that it has been our pleasure to have met in Ireland -- even after 18 trips.

SO much to see and do in the Lough Derg area and Hawthorn Lodge B&B is an ideal base from which to do so. I can't recommend the place highly enough!

Go. Stay. Savour true Irish hospitality at its finest.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the opportunity to chat with Noel and Ursula. They are friendly and knowledgeable
