We already had lunch before we got here, so we didn't get to eat. The restaurant was packed, so it must be good. Mix of tourists and locals. There were many local cowboys there. If you get a chance to talk with them do it. They are a class act. Manners. Politeness. Cowboy boots, Wranglers. Plaid Shirt and a cowboy hat. Official uniform of all U.S. cowboy.

Wonderful place to eat and to soak up the local atmosphere. The people, members of the Crow tribe, are very nice and welcoming. The displays of Indian artifacts and gift shop are well worth your time. Go there after seeing the battle field.

Be sure to stop here after you see the Little Bighorn Battlefield site. They have a large collection of souvenirs plus a good restaurant with daily specials and friendly service.

After visiting the Little Big Horn battlefield, we stopped at the Trading Post for lunch. We had heard about the Indian tacos from a tourism magazine, and that is what we had. We were not disappointed! 1 Indian taco easily fed the both of us, so much so that we had no room for dessert. The fry bread of the taco was awesome, and when drizzled with honey and the taco meat mix, it was over the top with flavor! The hostess and our waiter were very friendly, and service was excellent. This is a must-stop location when in the SE Montana area, but make sure you arrive hungry...
