A local recommended this restaurant. I had the volcano soup and salad. My husband had the burger. Everything was delicious right down to the homemade jam and the coffee and skyr we had for desert. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. Beautiful wood tables and vaulted ceilings. Well worth the stop,.

We were exploring the south coast on a Superjeep tour. That part of Iceland is beautiful, remote and sparsely populated. We pulled off the road to this restaurant about 2 in the afternoon and what a lovely surprise. It was warm bright and rustic. In spite of the remote location, the menu was varied and the food fresh. It was well cooked and well presented, service was prompt and friendly and prices reasonable. The restaurant deserves to do well.

We were traveling around the ring and just decided to try this small farmhouse on the side of Route 1. We were so happy that we did. We were the only ones there, not many travelers in October. Inside was very clean and decorated in fashion that reminded me of my German Grandma's house. Family serving us was very accommodating. The meat soup was so flavorful and hit the spot on a cold rainy day. You could tell it was made fresh and using the vegetables and meat from the farm. May not look like much from the outside, but so worth the stop.

This little gem is tucked away on a cattle ranch along the ring road. The restaurant is carved out of an old barn and has a charming decor. Their food is so fantastic, so fresh, with their meats being sourced right from their own farm animals. They also have a good selection of beer to pair with your meal. This place is a must stop if you are in the area.
