A nice little place in the harbour.
Home made cakes! Simply delicious :)
With special coffees made to your preference.

Nothing you would expect in a little town in a remote area.
A must-go-to, for sure...
Especially on your way from or to the Blue Lagoon.

Our host was so welcoming and friendly, and the lobster soup was divine. My favorite meal while in Iceland. Takk!

Lovely, heart warming cafe. Lovely lamb soup and apple cake.

Perfect host, and a warm welcome.

This must be the bet kept secret on Iceland. Simple fare, perfect environment

Each time I visit Bryggjan I say to myself "If I ever owned a cafe it would be exactly like this". Interesting decor, always a warm welcome, cozy surroundings, delicious food, and music to boot..plus a room upstairs that can be rented for functions when not occupied by the boisterous football fans! Their lobster soup is iconic. Their cakes are sublime. Bryggjan's location right on the harbor where the fishing boats come in make for an interesting setting..watching Icelandic fisherman bringing in their catches is something to see! It doesn't get better than this!

We have had lobster soup at quite a few restaurants in Iceland over the last year or so - it is a delicious dish, rich and heartwarming. The soup at Cafe Bryggjan is the best we have had. And the welcome at this lovely cafe by the harbour in Grindavik is also something to warm the soul.
