Owner description: Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

Ok experience. Has to be done. But don't be fooled as the locals all use the Biotherm lagoons in the city or on the beach by the Perlan. No tourists and much cheaper

This was my first spa experience and now I see what all the fuss is about. The facility is well designed and plans for expansion are underway. The staff are courteous and the restaurant is exceptional. Something about the warm and relaxing sea water in the cold February with snow coming down is an experience everyone deserves at least once in their lifetime. Listed as one of the top 25 wonders of the world according to National Geographic. Definitely something I want to do again and highly recommend!

Arrived at around 9:30 - would definitely recommend this time, not dark but we also saw the sun rise over the lagoon which was stunning. The queue was quickly managed and we were dealt with quickly and efficiently, the changing rooms were lovely and clean and very modern too with hair dryers provided and mirrors/tables for make up. Showers were also very clean and everything was well organised. Seen a few reviews complaining about towels being stolen - I took a colourful towel different from all the white ones and mine was still there at the end thankfully. The lagoon itself was absolutely amazing! You wouldn't think you were in minus temperatures at all, so lovely and warm! The lagoon was so spread out and spacious giving everyone plenty of room - being a tourist attraction I imagined it to be crammed and rowdy but I couldn't have been more wrong; so relaxing. The lagoon has a bar inside for drinks (no need to carry money, you just scan your wristband provided and pay at the end) and also has a mask station where a member of staff stands making masks and handing them out, I used a silica one which left my skin feeling firm and smooth. Such an amazing atmosphere with unreal views, definitely deserves its status as being one of the 25 wonders of the world

What an amazing experience! 6 below freezing and we are in swimming gear, just doesn't seem right until you get in the naturally heated water at 40+. What a pleasure it is swimming around the pool, up to the bar and in the man made cave area. Expensive it maybe but you have to indulge every now and then.
The staff struggled under pressure in the afternoon as two school parties arrived and chaos ensued as changing rooms and staircases closed off with no access to the upper level, this was the only issue we encountered.
Food and drink though is ridiculously priced, £30 for fish and chips is a bit much even for Iceland. Top tip: Enjoy your time in the pool area but eat elsewhere.

Absolutely Gorgeous place to visit. We went for our wedding anniversary and couldn't have gone to a more romantic place. We did the Premium Package and although my robe wasnt where I left it, it was still worth the money. Absolutely amazing experience and will definitely return
