Thank you for the kind words regarding our staff, rooms, and lounge. We are pleased to read you enjoyed your stay.
My mother and i stayed at the Crowne Plaza for a wedding we were attending. We found our room to be dirty with toothpaste on the bathroom door, debris on the floor and questionable sheets. The wedding reception was held at the hotel and we found the facility and the staff excellent. The food was very good as well. My mother and I both returned home with bug bites (maybe bed bugs, not sure).
Thank you for the kind words regarding the staff and our facility. I apologize the rooms were not inspected as they should have been. Our Executive Housekeeper is aware of your comments and will be following up with her staff. Thank you for your review.
We stayed here and found the rooms to be clean and neat. The pool was great as was the sauna and the gym.
The only complaint I had was that there were room service trays left outside our room when we got there. I called down and they were promptly removed.
Also, there's no free breakfast.
Thank you for the great review! I am happy to read that you enjoyed our hotel's amenities. I have passed on your comment about the trays to the restaurant manager to insure we are on top of this. Thanks. -Bill
Nice hotel, nice location, but people who work there are rude. Callous and unattentive at best
I apologize our staff did not provide the quality of service that you should expect from a Crowne Plaza. As I work very closely with the staff, I can assure you we truly do care about each guest that visits our hotel. Please feel free to contact me regarding your stay. -Bill
This was my first overnight visit to Springfield, IL. I went ahead and booked a room at this hotel as the photo's on the website made it look like a super clean hotel.Walking into the hotel we found it to be super clean and nice. Check in was fast without any issues. They gave us our first room. After unpacking all of our stuff we noticed that there was dust on the night lamp. Then we found dust on the headboard, window area and above the tv. There was a stain on the wall. We called the front desk to report this issue and we asked to be move to a new room. Front desk sent the bellman up to give us our new keys. I went ahead and showed him the dust and stain so they would know that I was just not making it up. He said he was sorry and that he would like the manager know. They moved us to a different room on a different floor. we checked in to the new room and once again there was dust all over the headboard and they sheet had a stain on them. We had a child with us so staying in a room with dust was not going to be ok. We asked the front desk if we could check out without being charged if we left and got another hotel room at a different hotel. They said that it would be fine for us to check out. At this time the front desk agent told us that if we wanted to stay she would move us to a different room and would send someone to look at the room before we moved. We ended up staying and the young lady ( who by the was was very very friendly) gave us an upgrade to a suite. We checked in to our new room and it was dust free. We left our room and did not get back till 10pm. When we arrived the ac unit was leaking water so we called the front desk. The Maint. guy came up and took care of the issue and was very helpful. about an hr and a half later the ac unit started to leak again. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone up again. A young man came up and said " There is only two of us here. I'm not a maint. guy what do you want me to do about it."He offered to move us to a different room. I told him NO we are not moving as we have already been moved twice and the baby was already alseep and we were unpacked. He brought us towels and that was it. When we were getting ready for bed we pulled out the sofa bed and we found no sheets, pillow, of blanket for us to use. WOW ! I called the front desk again and they sent the young man up again. He knocked and gave us the sheets and did not offer to make the sofa bed for us. The A/C was still leaking. It must have been leaking for 2 hrs or so. This visit was the worst visit in my life. If you plan of staying here please check for dust!
I apologize for all of the inconveniences during your visit. We truly care about each guest that stays at our property and appreciate their feedback. I have communicated the issues you presented with the appropriate managers to insure this does not happen again. Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to follow up on this review. -Bill
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending the State Fair. The rooms are on the small side even for our small family (two parents of small stature and two kids under 5). Upon arriving at the hotel, we noted beautiful burgandy decorator pillows on each bed. I turned one over to discover some crusty pink substance on it. The other pillow had apparent grease stains on the back. We promptly took those pillows off both beds and laid them on the floor on top of one another. Each morning those same dirty pillows were placed back on our beds. Gross.
The lobby areas were kept clean (you enter on floor one but the reception area is on floor two---sort of weird).
I asked an employee where I could find tourist-y type infomation and was led to a dark corner on the 1st floor. There was very little information regarding the Lincoln attractions, but many brochures covering areas in Missouri--go figure.
We ate at the buffet one morning, the food was adequate at best.
The hotel was quiet though and we never had any issues with noise or security issues.
Our bathroom didn't have a vent fan, so each morning I'd style my hair, only to have it droop 5 minutes after my husband took his daily shower. Not good.
