We had lunch there before we went to the Lincoln Museum. The food was excellent. It was well prepared and attractively presented. The service was excellent. The server knew her menu and was extremely helpful.Vegetarians will be pleased with the menu; they have a very good selection of vegetarian selections. The vegetable soup I had was superb. It was spicy without being salty. Their homemade ice cream is excellent. Be brave and try the cinnamon ice cream.Their salads and dressings are not the usual fare of other restaurants. I found La Calia to be a very friendly place, a place that makes customers feel comfortable. We did not feel rushed eating our lunch. It is worth making a trip to.

Had a late Sunday lunch at this cute little restaurant downtown.
Wonderful simple organic and local food that makes you wonder why you eat food purchased at the supermarket. Nicely presented and professionally staffed, but the freshness and flavor of the food was what made it great

If I were to open my own restaurant, it would be just like La Calia. It was cozy and the decor was perfect. The waitress knew the menu and couldn't have been more helpful. The menu was on a wall-mounted chalkboard for all to see, and changes often. We each ordered a different entree and tasted each other's. All were fantastic. The entrees and tapas were loaded with fresh produce, were simple, and fresh. We had homemade ice cream for dessert - mint chip and beet/basil. They were to die for. Definitely in my top 3 restaurants of all time. AWESOME!

It's always romantic downtown. What a great addition to the options. Had dinner here after a first Friday event. The food was awesome. Dessert was jalapeño lime ice cream. How cool is that??

We were visiting the Abraham Lincoln Museum and wanted lunch. La Calia was just a short block away. We ate outside. It was a slow day since it was July 4. Service was excellent. I had the salad with roasted grapes, etc. Hubby had the salmon sandwich which he said was "the best lunch I have ever had." For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Chili Pot and Rosewater Sorbet. Both were delicious. The chocolate had heaps of real whipped cream on top. We would definitely return!
