Everything was very well presented, particularly impressed with the way the importance of keeping a presidential library was explained. Excellent presentation.

Our children were able to be "history detectives" and were given a free book after they finished the paper. We all learned more about President Lincoln. This is a very nice and family friendly place to visit.

I see that TripAdvisor has combined the Presidential Library and Museum into the one review. These are located at N 6th Street/E Maddison St for the Library and N 6th Street/E Jefferson Street for the Museum.

Most of the attractions in downtown Springfield Il are all within walking distance of each other.

You get to learn a load of interesting information about the 16th President and the history of the 1860's.

We came here with our three young kids and loved it. The exhibits are very educational and the entire museum is very well done. There is a large play area/interactive area for children that will keep them entertained for a while. This is a must see for anyone who loves history. Or America.

Not sure what (as an English woman) I was expecting from this museum, but I have to say that it far exceed my expectations. A knowledge of American history is minimal, but I left this building feeling a lot more informed. Well done.
