“The Lincoln Museum is a Must See Visit in the MidWest”
Reviewed September 1, 2014 via mobile

Springfield, Illinois is Abraham Lincoln Country and the Museum and Library in the historic downtown area is a place to immerse oneself in the history of the immortal Abe.
Stunningly recreating the United States in the 1800's with every type of motion picture and special effects available. Yes, you were there at Fort Sumter and Gettysburg and finally Fords Theatre. You will return again and again.

“Magnificent museum!”
Reviewed September 1, 2014 via mobile

Fun, educational and state of the technology. There are two sections: the early and presidential years. In both, you learn not only about Lincoln, but about the way of life during that time. The two show features were phenomenal, our favorite part of the whole experience.

“Great museum!”
Reviewed September 1, 2014

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because they only let you take pictures in the main lobby of the museum and not all the rest. I was very dissappointed! Oh but they'll be happy to sell you a book with photos from all of the rooms...nice. No thanks to that. You will be awed by the museum you just won't have the pics to remember it all with. Unless you dole out some more cash that is.

This museum is superb. Excellent displays, 2 amazing 15 minute shows, and a great learning experience. This museum may be the best I have been to in a long time!

“Lincoln Museum”
Reviewed August 31, 2014

The Lincoln Museum had a lot of great exhibits. There are 2 parts of the Museum, early life and after Presidency. I learned so much more about life in the 1860's then I ever had before. It is so informative. Pictures showing him before the election are so drastically different then after all the stress of being President, he aged very badly. Very emotional part of History.
