waited years to plan this trip to Springfield, Il to see new Lincoln Library and Museum. Much of the memorabilia are reproductions. The guides are very helpful and go out of their way to answer questions, but the security is scary and over zealous. The exhibits are limited but the film is very interesting and nice to sit in comfortable seating.

The train ride of Chicago was great-three hours and quite comfortable. The airport is pretty up to date and I had no problem getting back to the O'Hare. Of course, I don't have to tell these readers that O'Hare Airport is the worst airport ever in every way, but since this is well known, I'll end it here.

A great place to learn about Abraham Lincoln and the civil war! It's quite sobbing to see the statistics and the carnage that took place. The tour ends with a reproduction of Lincoln's coffin resting in state in the old legislature building (which is right around the corner from the museum).Very sad.

What an educational experience. A great family trip. Best presidential museum I've visited. Multi-media presentations were very well done. A truly emotional experience.
