“Very Interesting Stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

I am so glad I took the time to visit the Lincoln-Herndon Law Office State Historical Site. The tour was so professionally done by the guide and the several of the furnishings were there when Lincoln worked there. The gift shop alone is worth the trip. Don't miss this attraction!

“Touch the original floor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

How often can you touch where Lincoln actually walked. You can here. You get to see the office where he worked and even if all the furniture isn't original, it looks authentic enough to make you feel as if you are getting to know Abraham Lincoln the lawyer and man just a little better. Also the indulgent father. Visit to find out what that means.

“Not Much To See, But Informative Tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

This is the building where Lincoln had his law office. They are not sure which room it was in nor what it looked like, so everything in there is just someone's interpretation of what it might look like. The tour guide was very good though making this tour worthwhile for me. I certainly learned a lot about postal service in the mid 19th century (Post Office was in the same building and they do take tours through it).

“Immersing in all things Lincoln”

Springfield is Lincoln's town and is obvious from your first steps on the streets that he once walke. The law offices give you another perspective on this man.

“See where Lincoln worked”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

The tour was only 1/2 an hour or so. It is air conditioned- we were there when it was 96 degrees so that made the tour a little better so we could cool off. There are stairs so people with strollers need to leave them downstairs. Worth going to-it's free!
