“Great Place To Let The Kids Run Around.”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Its free to get it. Went to 2 of the 3 floors, very neat to see. The 3rd floor is a play around for the kids. Didn't have enough time to see it, but will be going back to see it.

“Could be updated”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Has a lot of information on the history of Illinois. Newly updated children section in the basement. Enjoy the traveling art exhibit. The rest seems a little dated. Even though free, as a local, I don't feel compelled to bring the kids back too often since the exhibits are not exciting to them. Gift shop is very nice!

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

The exhibits were interesting and looked to be updated recently. Also has a free parking lot a couple of blocks to the west (just past Boones Saloon) which is in easy walking distance to all downtown attractions.

“Fun for kids!”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

We love bringing our 4 year old here on rainy days, cold days, too hot days... We come frequently and he always enjoys himself!
