Owner description: The only house Abraham Lincoln ever owned is the centerpiece of this four-block historic neighborhood. Lincoln and his family lived in the two-story house from 1844 until 1861, when their address changed to the White House.

This was a very good tour and I learned a lot. A great family activity. The tickets are free for the tour at the visitors center and there are plenty of things to see while you wait for it to begin.

I took my daughters to visit this site. We enjoyed the tour of Lincoln's home, and really loved hearing about his relationship with his wife and children. I wish the other homes had been restored so that people can go inside. Do not skip the house across the street from Lincoln's house! It has a lot of information about the way the Lincoln family renovated the home.

Believe this is the only national Park in Illinois and is well worth a visit. Plenty of history, the home in pristine condition and with excelllent, porofessional presentation

Great Lincoln site with historical reenactors, preserved buildings, and excellent displays. The big caveat is that the tickets to tour the Lincoln home itself are first come, first serve, so we missed that experience as all tickets for the rest of the day were sold out at 3 pm on a Thursday, so plan your visit accordingly.

The area is interesting for children and adults. Around the Lincoln home are "neighborhood" homes to visit which add to the tour.
