This is a national park site, so it is free. The tour guides were excellent and the home is beautifully restored! Don't miss it. You can also walk the neighborhood with other restored homes from the era, although you can't enter the homes.

“Nice to See a Modest Presidential Home”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Lincoln's home in Springfield really gives you insight to what family life was like for the Lincoln's and really makes the heroic president seem more realistic. Definitely worth a visit.

Loved the history and guides telling the story as you viewed Lincoln's home. Surprised there wasn't a charge but happy as everything else was at a reasonable cost.

“Great Site”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

The Lincoln Home gives you an intimate look of President Lincoln, the family man. The tour guide was a great source of information. The home is located in a historic 4 block neighborhood and we enjoyed looking at the homes and gardens. The area has wooden sidewalks and cobblestone streets. The visitor center was very informative also.
