Owner description: Painstakingly rebuilt after being disassembled in the 1960s, this Greek Revival masterpiece saw Lincoln serve as a lawyer and legislator. In 1858, Lincoln delivered his landmark "House Divided" speech in the Capitol's Representatives Hall.

For Historians, again, this is an awesome tour. It is very close to the Lincoln Museum, easy to walk to, easy to access. To the last of my knowledge, they will still swear in the oath to new U.S. citizens.

The site is well restored and provides another glimpse into the whole Lincoln experience. In addition, the current President both announced his candidacy and his Vice-Presidential nominee on the steps of this site.

You could join a tour or do it on your own. Very historic building with some nice displays. We caught the tail end of a tour and it was very informative. Glad we stopped by.
