“well worth the visit”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

I went to visit not knowing what to expect and was surprised. Try to get a guide if they are available to actually walk into a few rooms. See where president lincolns funeral was held. Really a neat place to walk into history.

“Lincoln Site”
Reviewed May 15, 2013 via mobile

Took an 8th grade class here. This time we didn't have a formal guide so it was left up to us to inform the students. Places that we have been allowed to go through we're blocked off. But there were areas that we walk through that Lincoln had been.

“See where Lincoln worked”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

The building is well-preserved with rooms showing what it was like to be in the legislature during Lincoln's time. You can sit in your own seat in the Senate and view small areas where women worked during the war to help the soldiers. School was still in session so the building was overrun with busloads of noisey children making it hard for our large group to hear the guide.
