We stopped by for dinner on our way north and we were so happy that we did. The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly and we felt very welcome. We will be stopping there again the next time we are around.

This was the cheapest (by a long way) place we stayed on our recent 10 night trip around Iceland, chosen to break up a long drive between the north and west. It's a motel type hotel on a working farm right by the ring road. Our room was very small but I had requested a quiet room with a good view and it was certainly that. I think other rooms may be a bit larger.

Outside there are farm animals and it was nice to be able to wander around and enjoy the views after dinner.

Having read the reviews we ate at the restaurant that evening and were very pleased. We shared a very nice starter and the burgers, as others have said, are really good.

The staff here were friendly and efficient as was the case everywhere we stayed in Iceland.

Did not stay in hotel, but did partake in a marvelous lunch. We actually visited in April of 2017, ergo in the off season, so we were the only ones at the restaurant the afternoon we visited. Hands down, I enjoyed the best hamburger I've ever had. The gracious waitress told us they raise all their own beef, pork, and as I recall, their vegetables as well. If you're in the locale of this attractive dining room, you can't go wrong by dropping in for a hamburger & drink.

We were recommended this place by a local from an hour away and did not disappoint. Don’t be turned off by the exterior. One of the best meals we’ve had in Iceland. The interior design is very unique and sophisticated and new. Our server was very kind and gave us some recommendations to see on our drive as well taught us about the hotel and restaurant. Her parents own the place and mom is incredibly talented: she knit the items in the gift shop as well as the artwork, designed the beautiful restaurant, handmade the gorgeous ceramic dishware and she’s the cook! Amazing!

Stayed here while driving around the island - it’s a working farm with a great restaurant and cozy rooms. The food is excellent, the rooms small but nicely done - the hot tubs weren’t hot enough for February - minus 6 outside - and needed a bit more water - otherwise highly recommended- a change from the plethora of modernist hotels on the island.
