After a long day of driving, through dark, winding, desolate roads, we finally reached the hotel, ready for a warm bed and nice meal. This place did not disappoint. What's really cool about this hotel is that it's basically a small farm, with resident animals on-site. You'll be woken up by the rooster, greeted by cows, and quacked at by some ducks. The food at their restaurant is basically sourced from their farm.

We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms themselves were a little small but comfortable. The hot tubs were quite cozy and situated next to a beautiful little creek and robes were provided. The food was excellent and all had a unique twist. Also a cute little shop to buy local merchandise. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I live in Reykjavík but try to visit this place everytime I pass by, just to get something to eat.

The food is mostly, if not all made or grown from nearby farms. The meat is from their own cattle and they cook their own bread. I just love the food, it’s so pure and tasty, everything from the burgers to beef steaks.

The staff is also always super friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing.

It’s a real gem and worth the visit, specially while on the road where most places sell cheap fast food. I have no experience about the hotel itself, only the restaurant.

A delightful place. The folks greeted us with open arms and honest smiles. The room was plenty comfortable. The food, really good: one of the very best burgers ever I have eaten. The breakfast was beautiful! And in addition to all that, the environs were wonderful for hiking.
I would certainly stay here again.

The staff, the facility (room & restaurant), and location were outstanding. We didn't expect as much given that Bifrost is so isolated. But the room was extremely comfortable (although a little small) and staff was very accommodating - they even helped use the Iceland weather website to see the Aurora Borealis the night we stayed there.
