We were at the hotel in 15 August 2013 for one week.
It offers lots of options:
1. Food: the food is reasonable and sometimes very good. We took the all inclusive package, and sometimes we overdo it with food ... After our return we started a diet :-)
2. Entertainment Staff: Good, has some attraction every evening, like bingo, and performance more (when we were at, there was a performance of the musical Grease performed entirely by the animation team).
3. Hotel location: The location of the hotel is in a small village named Sisi, in order to leave the village and go in Crete, must rent a car. The hotel is located within driving distance of about 20 minutes Harsonisios, and 25 minutes drive Agios Nicholas, which is a nice place and the village nearby which to cruise the island of lepers. Beachfront situated close to the hotel (not indexed) is not really recommended and to get one of the beaches Crete recommended to travel by car (or taxi).
4. Rooms: Rooms are very clean, spacious and it obviously depends on the room type you invite. We ordered a family room, suited for 4 people with no problem (a couple with two children).
5. Wi-Fi: There is Wi-Fi in the lobby and at the pool and the rooms, but the connection takes too long and I would suggest to the hotel to upgrade themselves in that light of growing demand for Wi-Fi. When we asked reception why the connection takes a long time to put on makeup and we were told that there are a lot of users and the network is congested.
6. Pools: Although many pools (I counted four, and another one at the spa), but most of the time the chairs are occupied by guests early risers. But that did not stop so because almost every day we were outside the hotel.
Summary
For those who read this review and for those who not: so very nice hotel, clean, highly recommended for families, enjoy ....

Great rooms, average food - restaurants upgrade only for longer stay (a week or more).

Attitude of personal could be better .. HR in general is not that great

Lots of pools, kids were very happy. Mini disco was nice.

Internet is slow ;-)

We stayed for 2 weeks and found the hotel staff all really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. We found the buffet nice although like all buffets does get a little boring but no problems with the food.We couldn't get booked in the greek because only available evening was when we were out with the car so instead ate in the Italian twice where the food and service was great with superb views over the sea.The drinks were good except for the diet coke mixer so we just used to use our own.Always plenty of sunbeds available around the pools. It was only a short walk into Sissi although there were bars etc right outside hotel. We found Sissi a lovely laid back place.

Room Tip: The rooms with private pools looked lovely

The evening entertainment could be a lot better , In the brochure it shows a lovely decked area overlooking the sea , A perfect place to watch the sun set , The bar at this decked area is called the 1996 bar , It's never
open , This should be the focal point of the resort , When the bar does open (it never did in the two weeks that we were there ) I was told that you have to pay for your drinks , It's not included in the all inclusive package , This is something that needs to be sorted out , the entertainment at night is pretty poor , Ok you get a couple of guys singing twice a week , and a kareoke on a Sunday that started at 10 and ended at 11 , 1 hour , And the all inclusive ends at 11 . These issues need addressing I think .

having returned from vasia beach and spa with my wife must say this will be a mixed review, having arrived at the vasia beach me and my wife went to check in this was very swift and professional with a food bag as buffet had closed ,we were told to see the porter who then took are bags and we got on a buggy to our room in the vasia beach we thought but it soon dawned on me we were going to another hotel as we were on the road the porter stopped at vasia village the sister hotel to vasia beach and were told that this is where we were staying I spoke to the night manager who said we had to stay there tonight and discuss it with the day manager in the morning, so we spoke to the manager as we requested a sea view as this was our 25th wedding anniversary this was the only side sea view available I protested and eventually we were moved to the vasia beach later that afternoon but still annoyed

on the vasia beach is a lovely hotel with good food and accomadation we were there for the week and used the Italian which was ok,all inclusive is from 830am til 11pm would have thought drinks would have been to 12am , entertainment was ok could do with a bit more maybe a disco etc met a couple with teenage kids who were finding it boring at night so the hotel needs to address this I think ,the safe is 30 euros for a week which is expensive I think check out is at 12pm then you must pay 10 euros each to continue all inclusive and about 60 euros if you want to keep your room on, but having spoke to the English manager who is very good about our situation been moved etc we got this free of charge , on the whole a good hotel just check they put you in the right hotel when you arrive lol
